& lyrics that carry you to the stillness,
boundlessness and unknowable wonder of your
true nature
This
project began as songs inspired by, and
written during a pilgrimage through India.
It's inception also coincided with the birth
of my calling to give Satsang, and in many
ways I hope to convey the energy of Satsang
and the spirit of Inquiry with these songs.
A
recurring theme, and a great joy for me, in
this body of work, is the creation of several
new 'chants'. By chants, here, I mean simple
lyrical refrains, evoking a 'Truth' or
'reverence to the Divine Boundlessness', sung
repeatedly.
Chants
of this nature are most commonly sung in
languages such as Sanskrit, Tibetan, Latin,
various Native American languages etc.. The chants here
are, for the most part, sung in English - so
even the 'linguistically challenged' native
English speakers amongst us can join in and
connect to what is being sung!
At
the point of writing this, there are 5 tracks
ready and available. A further 3 are written
and await recording, with perhaps 2 to 3 more to
be written before I pronounce this project
complete.
